Patna: The political war of words in Bihar has gone global. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has accused the ruling NDA of orchestrating a “Venezuela-style poll fraud” in the state.
The Allegation
Comparing Bihar to the South American nation often cited for rigged elections, the Opposition claimed that the electoral machinery is being systematically manipulated. They pointed to alleged discrepancies in the recent voter list revisions as evidence of “institutional bias.”
The NDA has dismissed the charge as the “frustration of an imminent defeat,” but the use of such strong international analogies indicates a deepening trust deficit between the Opposition and the Election Commission in the Heartland.
