1 POLICE IN-CHARGE CLASHES WITH YUVA CONGRESS LEADER IN BULANDSHAHR

The Kakod police station in-charge in Bulandshahr got into a heated confrontation with Yuva Congress Pradesh Secretary Gaurav Jayram Pradhan, during which abusive language was allegedly used and physical pushing took place.

The incident occurred when Pradhan was on his way to Delhi accompanied by a large group of party workers.

After the confrontation, Pradhan along with hundreds of workers reached the office of Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh and submitted a formal complaint seeking action against the station house officer.

3 POLICE ENCOUNTER IN ETAH’S ALIGANJ; ONE CRIMINAL SHOT IN LEG

Late on Thursday night, a police team in Aliganj, Etah, exchanged fire with three bike-borne criminals during a routine check.

The suspects reportedly fled on seeing the police and were chased from Kampil Road towards Mitaulia-Kaimganj road.

Police said the suspects opened fire on the pursuing team. In retaliatory action, one of them, identified as Lalu from Lakhimpur Kheri, was hit in the leg.

Two others managed to escape.

During interrogation, Lalu reportedly revealed that the gang was preparing for a theft that night and that four other members were involved in reconnaissance.

The injured accused has been referred to a medical college while the search for the absconding members continues.

Police suspect the gang’s involvement in recent thefts in the area.

Shravasti Superintendent of Police Rahul Bhati has launched a dedicated anti-corruption helpline to curb bribery and demands for illegal facilitation fees.

Citizens can register complaints by calling 9621993488 if any official demands a bribe, illegal gratification or extra charges for routine work.

The police administration has assured prompt action on complaints received through the helpline.

The initiative is aimed at enforcing the government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption and encouraging people to come forward against such practices.
